Japan offers strong opportunities in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, finance, education, and professional services. Workplace culture values punctuality, preparation, teamwork, respect, and careful communication; international companies are generally more flexible, although Japanese-language ability can significantly improve career prospects. Japan provides excellent public transport, healthcare, safety, food, and cultural experiences, but housing and commuting costs can be high in Tokyo.
