United Kingdom Royal Mail Group Approximately £25,000–£30,000 per year, depending on contracted hours, overtime and experience*
Job Description

Royal Mail is seeking a Postal Delivery Driver for its Fulham Delivery Office in London. The role involves sorting and delivering letters and parcels safely and efficiently, driving a Royal Mail vehicle, completing delivery rounds in varied weather, and providing polite customer service. Candidates should hold a valid UK driving licence, have safe driving skills, good physical fitness, reliability, and the ability to work independently while meeting delivery targets. Previous delivery or customer-service experience is useful but may not be essential. Flexibility is expected, including early starts, weekday work and occasional weekends or busy-season overtime. Applicants must demonstrate good communication, time-management and attention to detail, and be able to handle walking, lifting and carrying items throughout the working day.

Company Info

Royal Mail Group is one of the United Kingdom’s best-known delivery and logistics organisations. Its operations include Royal Mail, which provides letter and parcel delivery across the UK, and GLS, an international parcel network serving markets in Europe and beyond. The company employs a large nationwide workforce across delivery offices, sorting centres, transport operations, customer service and corporate functions. Royal Mail remains an important part of the UK’s postal infrastructure, connecting households, businesses and communities every day. Its services cover scheduled mail delivery, express parcels, tracked shipping and business logistics. The organisation places strong emphasis on safety, reliable service, teamwork and customer care. Working for Royal Mail can provide structured training, employee benefits and opportunities to progress into supervisory, transport, operational or specialist roles, although delivery work can be physically demanding and affected by seasonal demand and changing postal volumes.

Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers employment opportunities in logistics, transport, healthcare, technology, finance, construction, hospitality and professional services. Its culture combines historic traditions with diverse modern communities, and everyday life varies considerably between cities, rural areas and the nations of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Lifestyle benefits include extensive public transport, cultural attractions, green spaces and relatively strong worker protections, though housing and commuting costs can be high, especially in London. Foreign nationals generally need the appropriate visa before working. The Skilled Worker route requires an eligible sponsored job, an approved employer and usually a minimum salary; many delivery-driver roles may not qualify for sponsorship, so applicants must check the occupation and visa rules carefully. Relocating commonly involves arranging accommodation, a National Insurance number, banking, healthcare registration and, where relevant, a UK driving licence or licence exchange. Weather is changeable, and rural transport can be limited.
