Destination Guide

Thailand offers hotel, resort, restaurant, wellness, diving, events and sales opportunities in Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Pattaya and other island destinations. Bangkok provides the broadest corporate and MICE market, while island jobs often offer a more relaxed lifestyle, beach access and strong seasonal tourism demand. Thai culture values politeness, respect, hospitality and saving face; learning basic Thai is useful and appreciated. Living costs vary considerably, with Bangkok and prime resort areas more expensive than smaller towns. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit before legally working; requirements depend on nationality and position. Employers may assist with documentation, but candidates should confirm current rules with the Thai embassy and immigration authorities. Relocation planning should include accommodation, health insurance, transport, tax obligations and emergency savings. Thailand's climate is tropical, with hot weather and a rainy season that can affect island travel and business.
