Destination Guide

Maldives resort jobs are commonly available in hospitality, food and beverage, housekeeping, front office, marine activities, engineering, wellness, finance, and management. Resort islands offer a peaceful tropical lifestyle with beaches, diving, water sports, and close-knit staff communities, but limited shopping and entertainment compared with Malé. Maldivian culture is predominantly Islamic, so modest dress and respectful conduct are important, especially outside resort areas; alcohol is generally restricted to licensed resorts. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and should not work on a tourist visa. Employers commonly arrange airport transfers, accommodation, meals, medical checks, and permit processing, although terms vary by contract. Relocation involves travelling through Velana International Airport and then taking a domestic flight, seaplane, or speedboat to the resort. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, leave, insurance, internet access, and repatriation terms before accepting an offer.
