Job Description

The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef and manages daily kitchen operations at Four Points by Sheraton Desaru. Responsibilities typically include supervising culinary colleagues, preparing and presenting food to brand and food-safety standards, controlling stock and kitchen costs, coordinating service, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with menus and training. Candidates should have professional culinary experience, preferably in a hotel or resort environment, with strong knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, HACCP practices, portion control, and kitchen administration. Leadership, organization, communication, creativity, stamina, and the ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays are expected. A culinary qualification and previous supervisory experience are advantageous.
