Destination Guide

Australia offers many hospitality opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, cafés, bars and events, particularly in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. The Gold Coast is a popular coastal destination with a relaxed, outdoors-focused lifestyle, beaches, warm weather, theme parks and a diverse international community. Workplace culture is generally friendly, practical and team-oriented, with strong expectations around punctuality, safety, communication and responsible service. Rent and transport costs vary, with shared accommodation often the most affordable option. Foreign workers usually need an appropriate visa, such as a Working Holiday visa, employer-sponsored visa or another work-authorised pathway; eligibility depends on nationality, age, qualifications and occupation. Before relocating, confirm visa conditions, tax-file requirements, healthcare arrangements and employment terms. Australia is not one island but a country and continent comprising the mainland and numerous islands.
