Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, finance, technology, healthcare, and education. The culture is multicultural, combining Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, with English widely used at work. Lifestyle is convenient and safe, although housing and dining in central areas can be expensive. Public transport is reliable, and neighborhoods offer shopping, beaches, parks, museums, and diverse food options. Foreign interns generally need an appropriate work authorization, such as a Training Employment Pass or other pass arranged with the employer; eligibility depends on nationality, institution, salary, and program length. Relocating usually requires a passport, employment documents, medical or background checks where applicable, and secure accommodation before arrival. Singapore’s warm, humid climate, high service standards, and fast-paced environment make adaptability and professional presentation particularly important for hotel roles.
