Job Description

The Receptionist – Care Home role involves welcoming residents, families and visitors, answering telephone enquiries, managing reception records, handling post and providing general administrative support to the care home team. Candidates are expected to have a warm, professional manner, good communication and organisational skills, basic computer literacy and the ability to remain calm and helpful in a busy environment. Previous reception, administration, hospitality or customer-service experience is useful, while experience in a care setting may be advantageous. The successful candidate should respect confidentiality, work reliably as part of a team and show genuine compassion towards older people. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends or occasional bank holidays may be required.
