Financial Accounting Manager - Rakuten Symphony Financial Management Department (RSFMD)

Job Description

The role is expected to manage financial accounting activities for Rakuten Symphony, including month-end and year-end closing, reporting, budgeting support, reconciliations, internal controls, and coordination with group companies and auditors. Candidates should have solid experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational or technology environment, with knowledge of Japanese accounting standards and/or IFRS. Strong Excel and financial systems skills, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and business-level communication are important. The successful candidate is expected to work independently, improve accounting processes, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with finance, business, and overseas teams. Japanese and English communication skills are likely to be valuable.
