Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping hotel facilities, guest rooms, equipment and building services safe, functional and well presented. Typical requirements include practical experience in hotel, commercial or building maintenance; knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general repairs; good troubleshooting skills; and the ability to respond to maintenance requests promptly. Relevant trade qualifications are advantageous, while health and safety awareness is essential. The successful candidate is expected to work independently and cooperatively, communicate professionally with guests and colleagues, complete preventative maintenance, maintain accurate records and support a high standard of guest comfort. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends or on-call periods may be required.
