The Purchasing Agent Intern supports the hotel’s procurement activities, including obtaining quotations, comparing suppliers, preparing purchase orders, updating records, checking deliveries, and coordinating with departments such as kitchens, housekeeping, and finance. Candidates are typically expected to be studying hospitality, business, finance, or supply-chain management and to have an interest in purchasing operations. Good organization, numerical accuracy, communication skills, and basic Microsoft Office knowledge are important. Fluency in English is generally useful in an international hotel, while Spanish or Catalan may be advantageous. The successful candidate should be reliable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and comfortable working with suppliers and multiple hotel departments. An internship agreement with an educational institution may be required.
