Destination Guide

Indonesia is an archipelago, and Bali is the most common relocation destination for international hospitality workers. Job opportunities are strongest in hotels, resorts, restaurants, wellness, tourism, sales, and guest services, especially in Bali, Jakarta, Lombok, and major coastal destinations. Balinese culture values community, spirituality, family, and respect for local ceremonies; modest dress and considerate behavior are important. Lifestyle options range from relaxed beach living to busy urban areas, with generally affordable food and transport, although popular Bali districts can be expensive. Foreign employees need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate employment visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers normally assist with immigration paperwork, contracts, and sometimes accommodation or meals. Before relocating, confirm salary, service charge, housing, insurance, tax arrangements, and visa responsibility in writing.
