Destination Guide

Qetaifan Island North is a developing leisure destination in Lusail, north of Doha, rather than a remote island community. Qatar offers hospitality opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, catering, events and tourism, with stronger hiring periods before major holiday and winter seasons. The culture is welcoming but conservative: modest clothing is expected in public areas, Islamic customs should be respected, and alcohol is restricted to licensed venues. Lifestyle benefits include modern accommodation, beaches, shopping malls, desert activities and a safe, international community. Employers commonly arrange work visas and residence permits for overseas staff, subject to medical checks, document attestation and government approval. Confirm whether the contract includes accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, flights and end-of-service benefits before accepting. New arrivals should budget for hot summers, understand local employment rules and keep copies of their passport, contract and visa documents.
