Job Description

The Assistant Banquet Manager supports the planning and delivery of conferences, weddings, meetings and other functions at Sofitel Brisbane Central. The role typically requires hospitality or event-management experience, strong knowledge of banquet service, excellent organisation, and the ability to lead and motivate a team. Candidates should be confident managing set-up, service standards, guest requests, staffing, stock control and event breakdowns. Good communication, attention to detail, problem-solving skills and a professional presentation are essential. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays is expected. Experience with hotel property or point-of-sale systems, food-safety awareness and responsible service practices would be advantageous.
