Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, events, aviation, retail, technology, finance and digital marketing. Dubai is multicultural, highly connected and known for modern infrastructure, warm weather, beaches, shopping and an active dining and entertainment scene. Professional workplaces are international, while local culture places importance on respect, modesty and religious traditions, especially during Ramadan. The UAE has no personal income tax for most employees, although accommodation, transport and health insurance arrangements vary by employer. Most overseas employees require an employment entry permit and residence visa sponsored by their company; the employer usually manages medical checks, Emirates ID and work authorization. Relocation costs, housing and schooling can be significant, so candidates should review the full benefits package. Public transport is convenient in Dubai, and English is widely used in business, though Arabic knowledge is beneficial.
