The Handyperson is responsible for keeping the hotel’s buildings, rooms, equipment and outdoor areas safe, functional and well presented. Duties may include routine inspections, preventative maintenance, basic electrical and plumbing repairs, painting, carpentry, grounds upkeep and responding promptly to maintenance requests. Candidates should have practical trade or maintenance experience, sound problem-solving skills, good attention to detail and the ability to work independently. A professional approach, physical fitness, safety awareness and flexibility to work varied shifts are expected. Hotel, resort or facilities-maintenance experience is advantageous. Applicants must be reliable, customer-focused and able to communicate effectively with guests, contractors and colleagues. Relevant licences, trade qualifications and a current Australian work right may be required.
