Job Description

The Cook II (Bakery) is responsible for preparing breads, pastries, cakes, and other bakery products according to Shangri-La’s recipes and quality standards. Requirements typically include professional bakery or pastry training, relevant hotel or commercial kitchen experience, knowledge of baking methods, food safety, hygiene, and ingredient handling. The successful candidate should be reliable, physically fit, organized, and able to work efficiently under pressure in a hot, fast-paced kitchen. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays is expected. Good teamwork, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and consistent presentation of products are important. Experience in an upscale hotel, resort, or high-volume bakery would be advantageous.
