Public Area Supervisor

Job Description

The Public Area Supervisor oversees the cleanliness, presentation and upkeep of hotel public spaces, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms and guest facilities. Requirements typically include previous housekeeping or hotel operations experience, supervisory skills, good knowledge of cleaning standards, attention to detail and the ability to lead and train colleagues. The successful candidate is expected to organize shifts, inspect work areas, coordinate with other departments, respond promptly to guest and operational needs, and maintain Shangri-La’s service and hygiene standards. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays is normally required. Good communication skills in English are important; Cantonese or Mandarin would be an advantage in Hong Kong.
