Destination Guide

The Philippines is an archipelago offering varied opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, retail, business services, and technology. Major employment hubs include Metro Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, and Davao. Hospitality workers can enjoy beaches, diving, island trips, lively festivals, and a generally friendly, family-oriented culture. English is widely used in business and tourism, while Filipino and regional languages are spoken locally. Living costs vary: Manila and major resort areas are more expensive than provincial cities, and accommodation near tourist zones can be limited. Foreign nationals normally need an appropriate work visa or permit, usually arranged with employer support; they should not work on a tourist status. Filipino applicants need standard identification, employment, and tax documents. Before relocating, confirm salary, service charge, housing, transport, medical coverage, visa sponsorship, and probation terms directly with the employer.
