Job Description

The Head Baker leads the bakery and pastry production team, preparing high-quality breads, pastries, desserts and related products while maintaining Shangri-La standards. Candidates should have professional bakery experience, strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety and hygiene, and the ability to supervise and train colleagues. The role requires creativity, organization, attention to detail and the ability to manage production schedules, stock control and quality consistency. The successful candidate is expected to work hands-on in a busy hotel kitchen, support menu development, control wastage and costs, and collaborate effectively with chefs and other departments. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays is normally required.
