Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly developed island city with strong opportunities in hospitality, engineering, facilities management, technology, finance and logistics. Its multicultural population includes Chinese, Malay, Indian and international communities, and English is widely used at work. Life is convenient, safe and efficient, with excellent public transport, healthcare, shopping and food options. Housing can be expensive, particularly near central areas, so many employees choose shared accommodation or locations close to MRT lines. Singapore has a tropical climate with year-round heat and frequent rain. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored work pass: technical roles may qualify for an S Pass or, depending on salary and qualifications, another appropriate pass. Employers typically handle the application, while candidates should confirm eligibility, salary requirements, medical checks and relocation support before accepting an offer.
