Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting guests, colleagues, hotel property and assets at Shangri-La in Hong Kong. Typical duties include monitoring entrances and surveillance systems, conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, recording incidents, managing access control and assisting guests or colleagues during security situations. Candidates should generally have relevant hotel, security or customer-service experience, good communication skills, physical fitness, sound judgment and a calm, professional manner. A valid Hong Kong Security Personnel Permit or the ability to obtain one is normally required. Candidates should be comfortable working shifts, weekends and public holidays, follow strict procedures, maintain confidentiality and deliver courteous service while handling sensitive situations discreetly.
