The General Technician supports the hotel’s Engineering and Maintenance team in keeping guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities safe and operational. Typical duties include preventive maintenance, repairs to electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, carpentry and building systems, responding to work orders, and recording completed tasks. Candidates should have relevant technical training or vocational qualifications, practical hotel or building-maintenance experience, and good troubleshooting skills. Basic knowledge of workplace safety, tools and building services is expected. The role requires flexibility for shifts, weekends and emergencies, physical fitness, attention to detail, reliability, and a customer-service attitude. Cantonese and English communication skills are advantageous in Hong Kong.
