Destination Guide

Australia is both a country and a continent-sized island, offering hospitality opportunities in cities, coastal resorts, remote lodges and major event venues. Executive chefs are in demand, particularly in luxury hotels, restaurants, resorts and regional tourism destinations. Workplace culture is generally practical, direct and team-oriented, with strong attention to food safety, responsible service and workplace rights. Lifestyle varies from fast-paced city living to relaxed coastal or tropical communities, with excellent beaches, outdoor activities and diverse food culture. Living costs can be high in Sydney, Melbourne and resort areas, so salary, accommodation and transport should be considered carefully. Eligible young travellers may use Working Holiday visas through subclasses 417 or 462, while skilled professionals may require employer sponsorship or another skilled visa. Candidates should confirm eligibility, licensing, tax, health insurance and relocation support before accepting an offer.
