Job Description

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, inspecting, recording, storing and issuing food, beverages, operating supplies and other hotel materials. Requirements typically include secondary education, previous warehouse or hotel stores experience, basic inventory-control and computer skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records. Familiarity with stock rotation, expiry-date checks, safe lifting and hygiene procedures is helpful. The successful candidate is expected to be organised, physically fit, dependable and detail-oriented, with good communication skills and a willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Experience using inventory or purchasing systems and knowledge of hotel operations would be an advantage.
