Job Description

The Cook II (Bakery) supports the pastry and bakery team by preparing breads, pastries, cakes, desserts and other baked products according to Shangri-La standards. Candidates should have practical bakery or pastry experience, basic knowledge of baking methods, ingredient handling, food safety and kitchen hygiene. A culinary certificate or hospitality training is advantageous. The role requires accuracy, consistency, creativity, good time management and the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods. The successful candidate is expected to follow recipes and instructions, maintain clean and safe work areas, minimize waste, support senior chefs and work cooperatively in a multicultural kitchen. Shift work, weekends and public holidays may be required.
