Destination Guide

The Philippines is an archipelago with strong employment opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, retail, business services, and information technology. Major destinations such as Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, and Davao offer different lifestyles: Manila is fast-paced and urban, Cebu combines city living with beaches, while resort islands provide a slower, tourism-focused environment. Filipino culture is friendly, family-oriented, and community-minded, with English widely used in workplaces. Living costs vary considerably, with resort locations sometimes charging more for accommodation and transport. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa before starting work; requirements can include immigration, labor, medical, and employment documents. Employers often provide guidance, accommodation, meals, transport, or service charges, but these benefits should be confirmed in the offer. Candidates should also prepare for tropical weather, seasonal tourism demand, and flexible hospitality schedules.
