Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with major opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation, and events. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati hospitality, and a highly international population. Employees should dress respectfully, observe local customs, and be mindful of Ramadan practices. Lifestyle is modern and convenient, with excellent shopping, beaches, desert activities, public transport, and diverse international communities, though accommodation and summer heat can be challenging. Most expatriate employees require an employment residence visa, normally arranged and sponsored by the employer after arrival. Contracts commonly include accommodation, transport, medical insurance, meals, and annual leave, but terms should be checked carefully. Bring authenticated documents where requested and confirm recruitment is through official channels.
