The group is recognised for personalised service, elegant accommodation, extensive dining concepts and its distinctive Asian-inspired approach to hospitality. Shangri-La properties typically serve leisure travellers, business guests, families and high-end events, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and colleague development. Employees generally work in multicultural environments with structured operational standards, comprehensive guest-service expectations and opportunities to build international hospitality careers.

Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates rather than an island, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest number of hospitality opportunities. Luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, airlines, events and tourism companies regularly recruit chefs, service professionals, engineers and managers. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati heritage and a highly international expatriate community. Lifestyle options include beaches, desert activities, shopping, dining and major cultural attractions, although summers are extremely hot. Most expatriates require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; employers commonly arrange medical checks, Emirates ID processing and sometimes accommodation or transport. A valid passport, attested qualifications and relevant experience may be required. Salaries are often tax-free for individuals, but living costs, especially rent, can be high. UAE employment contracts, probation terms, benefits and visa conditions should be reviewed carefully before relocating.
