The group is recognized for its refined service, Asian-inspired hospitality, and the Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN, and Traders brands. Its properties serve leisure travelers, corporate guests, long-stay residents, and conference and event customers. Shangri-La places strong emphasis on personalized guest experiences, cultural understanding, responsible business practices, and employee development. Destination Guide

Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, luxury retail, finance, technology, marketing, and regional corporate functions. The city’s international business environment makes it attractive for experienced communications professionals, particularly those with Asia-Pacific, luxury-brand, or Chinese-market expertise. Life is fast-paced and highly connected, with excellent public transport, diverse restaurants, dense urban neighborhoods, hiking trails, beaches, and easy access to nearby islands and mainland China. Cantonese is widely spoken, while English is common in business and professional settings; Mandarin is also valuable. Foreign professionals generally need an employment visa sponsored by a Hong Kong employer, with approval based on qualifications, experience, and a confirmed job offer. Relocation costs and housing can be high, especially on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon. Candidates should review visa requirements, tax obligations, healthcare, schooling, and rental markets before moving.
