Mechanical Maintenance Planner

Job Description

The Mechanical Maintenance Planner is responsible for preparing and coordinating planned maintenance activities for mechanical equipment at a BlueScope Steel site in Australia. Requirements typically include mechanical trade or engineering experience, knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, and familiarity with planning systems such as SAP or similar CMMS platforms. The successful candidate should be capable of developing job plans, estimating labour, materials and equipment, coordinating contractors, maintaining accurate records and supporting safe, efficient plant operations. Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills are expected, together with a commitment to safety, quality and environmental standards. Experience in steelmaking, heavy manufacturing or other continuous-process industries would be advantageous.
