Job Description

A Clearance Agent manages customs-clearance activities for international shipments, ensuring goods are processed accurately and released on time. Requirements typically include experience in customs, freight forwarding, logistics or import/export administration; knowledge of Australian customs procedures and documentation; strong computer skills; and clear written and verbal communication. The role requires careful checking of invoices, permits, tariffs and shipment data, while coordinating with customers, customs authorities, carriers and internal teams. Candidates are expected to work accurately under time pressure, resolve clearance issues, follow compliance procedures and provide dependable customer service.
