Destination Guide

A cruise-based role is usually connected to ships visiting multiple islands rather than being permanently located on one island. Common opportunities include hospitality, food and beverage, entertainment, guest services, marine operations, engineering, retail, healthcare, and shoreside technology or corporate support. Life onboard is international and fast-paced, with shared accommodation, structured work schedules, multicultural teams, and access to dining, recreation, and crew facilities during time off. Shore leave may allow visits to Caribbean destinations such as the Bahamas, Jamaica, St. Lucia, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, depending on the itinerary. Shipboard employees generally need a valid passport, medical clearance, company-required maritime documents, and appropriate crew or transit visas. Shoreside employees relocating to Miami need U.S. work authorization and should plan for housing, transportation, healthcare, and local living costs. Visa and entry requirements depend on nationality, role, and itinerary.
