Travel or occasional ship visits may be required.

Company Info

Carnival Corporation & plc is one of the world’s largest cruise vacation companies, operating a portfolio of well-known cruise brands, including Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Costa Cruises, Cunard, and others. Its corporate operations are supported from offices including Miami, Florida, while its ships travel to destinations across the Caribbean, North America, Europe, Alaska, and other international regions. Carnival employs maritime, hospitality, technology, engineering, entertainment, culinary, and corporate professionals. The company focuses on delivering vacation experiences for millions of guests while maintaining ship safety, regulatory compliance, environmental responsibility, and reliable onboard operations. Technology and cybersecurity are increasingly important to Carnival because modern cruise ships depend on interconnected operational systems for navigation, engineering, communications, guest services, and safety. Employees typically work in a global, fast-paced environment with opportunities to collaborate across shoreside offices and vessels.

Destination Guide

A cruise ship is not an island, but it offers a mobile work-and-lifestyle environment with access to many islands and coastal destinations. Job opportunities include maritime operations, hospitality, food and beverage, entertainment, engineering, cybersecurity, medical services, retail, and guest relations. Life onboard is multicultural and structured, with shared accommodation, long working hours, scheduled rotations, and limited personal space, balanced by travel, crew facilities, and opportunities to meet people from around the world. Employees normally need a valid passport, medical clearance, background checks, safety training, and a seafarer visa or transit visa where required. Visa rules depend on nationality, ship itinerary, and embarkation port; Carnival or its hiring partners usually provide guidance. Relocation is generally to a joining port rather than permanent island residence. Miami is a major Carnival hub, and candidates should budget for travel documents, transport to the port, and personal expenses before joining.
