Job Description

This Scientist I role focuses on innate immunity and cancer cell-death biology within Astellas’s discovery research organization in Japan. Candidates are typically expected to hold a PhD or equivalent experience in immunology, cancer biology, molecular biology, cell biology, or a related discipline, together with practical laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture, immunological assays, microscopy, flow cytometry, or molecular techniques. Experience studying innate immune pathways, apoptosis, pyroptosis, necroptosis, or related cancer mechanisms is advantageous. The successful candidate should be scientifically curious, collaborative, capable of designing and interpreting experiments, comfortable presenting results, and able to contribute to publications, patents, and drug-discovery programs in a multidisciplinary environment.
