Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with major opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, finance, technology, healthcare and construction. Dubai and Abu Dhabi offer the widest range of international careers, while resort destinations such as Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah provide hotel and tourism roles. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati heritage and a highly international expatriate community. Lifestyle options include beaches, desert activities, shopping, dining and extensive entertainment, although summers are extremely hot. Employers normally sponsor work visas, residence permits and medical checks for foreign employees; working without valid authorization is not permitted. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, annual leave and flight benefits before relocating. Costs can be high, particularly for housing, and employees should understand local laws, customs and workplace expectations.
