Destination Guide

Malaysia offers hospitality opportunities in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Sabah, Sarawak, and coastal resort areas. Langkawi is a relaxed island destination with beaches, resorts, outdoor activities, and a strong tourism economy, while Penang combines heritage culture, excellent food, and urban employment. Malaysian life is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous influences, and English is widely used in hotels and business. Costs are generally moderate, although central Kuala Lumpur and popular resort islands can be more expensive. New employees should confirm whether accommodation, meals, transport, medical coverage, and flights are included. Foreign nationals normally require employer sponsorship and an approved Employment Pass or other appropriate work permit before starting work. A valid passport, medical checks, verified qualifications, and a written contract are commonly required. Research local transport, climate, housing, and insurance before relocating.
