Destination Guide

The Philippines offers strong hospitality opportunities across Boracay, Cebu, Palawan, Bohol, Siargao and Metro Manila, particularly in resorts, hotels, restaurants, diving and tourism services. Workplaces are generally friendly and relationship-oriented, while English is widely used in business and hospitality. Island life can be relaxed and outdoors-focused, with beaches, diving, boating and local festivals, although transport, healthcare and internet access may be more limited outside major centers. Living costs vary: resort islands can be expensive for accommodation, while local food and daily services are comparatively affordable. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and an appropriate visa, commonly arranged with support from the hiring company; entering as a tourist does not authorize employment. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, meals, transport, service charge, insurance and relocation assistance before accepting an offer. Weather is tropical, with a dry season and a rainy or typhoon season.
