Duty Engineer

Job Description

The Duty Engineer is responsible for the daily operation, inspection and maintenance of hotel building services, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning and life-safety systems. Candidates should have a relevant technical qualification, practical experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance, and a sound understanding of workplace safety. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to respond quickly to breakdowns and guest requests, and good communication with colleagues and contractors. The successful candidate is expected to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays, maintain accurate records, support preventive-maintenance programmes and ensure the hotel remains safe, comfortable and operational at all times.
