Destination Guide

Singapore is a modern island city-state with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, finance, technology, healthcare, and retail. Its culture combines Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, reflected in its food, festivals, languages, and neighborhoods. The lifestyle is safe, clean, efficient, and highly connected, with excellent public transport and many shopping, dining, park, and waterfront activities. Housing can be expensive, especially near central areas, so newcomers often consider shared accommodation or locations near MRT lines. Foreign workers generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit, depending on qualifications, salary, and occupation. Employers normally submit the application, and approval is required before starting work. Candidates should confirm accommodation, medical coverage, contract terms, and work-pass eligibility before relocating.
