Job Description

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper supports the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operations, room cleanliness, public areas, laundry coordination, supplies, inspections and team scheduling. Candidates are generally expected to have supervisory experience in hotel housekeeping, preferably in an upscale or international property. Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, hygiene, guest service and operating procedures is important. The role requires leadership, organisation, attention to detail and the ability to train and motivate colleagues. Good communication skills in English are usually required, while knowledge of local languages and hotel systems is advantageous. The successful candidate should be flexible, physically capable of working on their feet, comfortable with shift work and committed to maintaining Shangri-La's service standards.
