Job Description

The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and evaluating employee training across the hotel. Requirements typically include a diploma or degree in human resources, hospitality, education or a related field, along with several years of training or hotel experience. The successful candidate should understand adult learning methods, onboarding, leadership development and performance improvement. Strong communication, presentation, coaching and organisational skills are essential, as is confidence working with employees at all levels. Experience using learning platforms, preparing training budgets and measuring programme effectiveness is advantageous. The candidate is expected to support Shangri-La service standards, build a strong learning culture and work closely with department heads to identify development needs.
