Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, multicultural city-state with strong job opportunities in hospitality, tourism, finance, technology, healthcare, logistics, and education. English is widely used at work, while Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil are also official languages. The culture is orderly, diverse, and influenced by Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international communities. Lifestyle is convenient, safe, and urban, with excellent public transport, varied food, shopping, parks, and waterfront areas. Housing can be expensive, particularly near the city center, so many workers choose shared accommodation or areas farther from Orchard Road. Applicants should confirm requirements with Shangri-La and Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower. Relocation planning should include accommodation, health insurance, transport, and living costs.
