Destination Guide

Malaysia offers opportunities in hotels, resorts, finance, retail, technology, manufacturing, and tourism. Popular island destinations such as Langkawi, Penang, and Tioman provide a relaxed lifestyle, beaches, outdoor activities, and strong hospitality demand, while Kuala Lumpur and other cities offer broader career options. Malaysian culture is diverse, combining Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous traditions, with English commonly used in business and tourism. Living costs vary; island locations may be more expensive for accommodation and imported goods. Employees should confirm whether housing, transport, meals, and medical coverage are included. Foreign nationals normally require an employment pass sponsored and submitted by the employer before starting work. Requirements depend on nationality, salary, qualifications, and role. New arrivals should arrange suitable insurance, local banking, transport, and accommodation in advance.
