Job Description

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for keeping hotel lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, recreational areas and other guest-accessible spaces clean, safe and presentable. Typical requirements include previous housekeeping or hotel experience, basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, good physical stamina, attention to detail and the ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. The candidate is expected to maintain Shangri-La service standards, follow health and safety procedures, respond courteously to guests and report maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly. Reliability, teamwork, a professional appearance and a positive attitude are important. Basic English or another commonly used hotel language is generally helpful.
