Destination Guide

Hong Kong is a busy international city made up of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, connected by efficient rail, ferry and road networks. Hospitality offers opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, events, retail and food and beverage, with demand for candidates who speak English, Cantonese or Mandarin. The culture combines Chinese traditions with international influences, and daily life is fast-paced, safe and convenient. Housing can be expensive, while public transport is excellent and compact neighbourhoods offer many dining and leisure choices. Employers often assist with visa documentation, but candidates should confirm contract terms, accommodation, medical coverage and relocation costs. Hong Kong’s climate is subtropical, with hot, humid summers and mild winters.
