Destination Guide

For an Indonesia-based hospitality role, Bali is the most familiar relocation destination, although the exact property location should be confirmed. The island offers opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, engineering, construction and facilities management, especially in areas such as Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Seminyak and Ubud. Balinese culture is strongly influenced by Hindu traditions, with frequent ceremonies, temple visits and community events. Lifestyle is generally relaxed, outdoor-oriented and international, but traffic, seasonal tourism and higher housing costs can be challenging. Employees should obtain the correct employer-sponsored work permit and Indonesian work visa before starting employment; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers commonly assist with immigration, accommodation, health coverage and relocation arrangements. Jakarta offers broader corporate and engineering opportunities, while Lombok and other islands provide quieter resort environments but fewer specialist services.
