Destination Guide

Australia offers opportunities in retail management, telecommunications, technology, healthcare, construction, education, hospitality, logistics and professional services. Workplace culture is generally practical, direct and team-oriented, with strong emphasis on safety, inclusion, customer service and work-life balance. Brisbane and the Gold Coast provide warm weather, beaches, outdoor activities and a relaxed lifestyle, although housing and transport costs vary by suburb. International workers usually need a suitable visa, such as an employer-sponsored visa, skilled visa, graduate visa or working holiday visa, depending on their occupation, nationality and circumstances. Employer sponsorship is not guaranteed and applicants should check current requirements through Australia’s Department of Home Affairs. Relocating typically involves arranging a tax file number, bank account, health insurance, accommodation and transport. Australia’s large distances, competitive rental market and regional differences should be considered before moving.
