Job Description

The Intermediate SMP Designer supports the development of structural, mechanical and piping designs for major construction, mining or infrastructure projects. Requirements typically include a relevant engineering or design qualification, practical experience with 3D design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit or Navisworks, and an understanding of Australian standards, technical specifications and design documentation. The candidate is expected to produce accurate layouts, models, drawings and schedules, coordinate with engineers and other disciplines, respond to project changes, and meet safety, quality, budget and schedule requirements. Strong communication, problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a project environment are important.
