Company Info

BDO Unibank, Inc. is one of the Philippines' largest full-service universal banks and a major member of the SM Group. It serves individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises, large corporations, institutions, and affluent clients through an extensive branch, ATM, digital banking, and payment-services network. Its offerings include deposits, consumer loans, credit cards, corporate and commercial lending, investment banking, treasury, wealth management, remittances, and insurance-related services. BDO is known for its broad domestic reach and emphasis on accessible banking, technology, and customer convenience. This position provides an entry point into branch banking and may offer exposure to customer service, transactions, sales, and other retail-banking career paths.

Destination Guide

The Philippines offers opportunities in banking, business-process outsourcing, technology, retail, healthcare, education, tourism, and logistics, especially in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented, English-friendly, and relationship-driven; respect and professional courtesy are important in the workplace. Manila provides the widest career choices but has heavy traffic, crowded neighborhoods, and higher living costs. Cebu offers a more relaxed urban lifestyle, while island destinations such as Palawan, Boracay, and Siargao are popular for beaches and outdoor activities. Housing, transport, and daily expenses vary considerably by city. Foreign nationals usually need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, while short-term entry does not authorize employment. Candidates should confirm requirements with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration and their employer. New arrivals should budget for deposits, transportation, healthcare, and rainy-season disruptions.
